Obama has the new Race Card album?

Alas, it's just some crazy rhetoric from McCain. But maybe we'll send him a copy so he can really play the RACE CARD! New Album coming soon!

I noticed the guitar riff on the first track is remarkably similar to "Collective Soul - Untitled". What a ripoff for a free download.

headjam.... thanks for your comments. I assure you that they are not the same, musically, tonally, rhythmically (but everyone's perception is different and we respect your opinion). However, the downloads are free, we are not forcing them on you, if it's not something you dig, feel free to move on to something else.

I assure you that you're tone deaf and a bad liar if you expect me to believe that you came up with that riff yourself completely randomly.

Now if you'd said that you had both sampled it from someone, I might've believed you.

I encourage everyone who follows this band to download a copy of "Collective Soul - Untitled" and find out for yourself. Freedom of information.

I agree with you, I encourage anyone to compare the two for themselves.

The Story

Do you love Hip Hop? Hip Hop mixed with a little Rock?

It’s a line from one of the songs on the new self-titled Race Card album and it’s a line that sums up the band perfectly. Think Jay-Z meets Led Zeppelin. Think Chuck D meets Weezer. Think Eminem meets Living Colour. Think you can handle it?

Rapper Tahir Jahi and guitarist-singer Damian Hagger conceived Race Card early in 2004. Both did solo projects prior to working together, one Pop-Rock, one Rap. The merger of the two came naturally and the self-titled debut album was recorded in only 6 days of studio time. Race Card blends riff-oriented rock and pop hooks with intense hip hop rap lyrics and subjects; and the combination is unlike anything out there.
